Congratulations Class of 2022

In 2020, the global outbreak of the Coronavirus disrupted all traditional graduation celebrations and ceremonies in unprecedented ways, as organizations could not legally host large gatherings at the height of the pandemic. Annually, many schools and institutions host a baccalaureate service as a part of their graduation activities. This program is a religious service held at an educational institution on the final Sunday before the graduation ceremony to provide its graduates with words of inspiration before they embark on their journey to fulfill their academic, military service or employment goals.

Our Pastors, Bishop Timothy and Olivia Branch despite the global pandemic wanted to ensure that all graduates to include their son, a graduate in the North Stafford High School Class of 2020 had the opportunity to enjoy this past time with their families. Lord of the Harvest Ministries (LHM) in Stafford, Virginia received vision to host a virtual baccalaureate event to celebrate the graduating classes of 2020.

In our inaugural virtual baccalaureate service held on May 17, 2020, we celebrated eight scholars: five high school, two undergraduate and one graduate student. This first of its kind virtual service utilized streaming software that enabled the ministry to bring together graduates located in three different states, two different time zones and viewers to witness the event from as far away as the U.S. Virgin Islands, Germany, and Africa! The most unique element of the service was out while LHM is in Virginia, the Master of Ceremonies for the baccalaureate service was in New Orleans, Louisiana. Truly this was a divinely inspired program that was to bless everyone attending this event.

Our fundraising for the initial scholarship fund is unique in that Bishop Timothy Branch received the charge to start the LHM Scholar Award Program from God who said there would be one hundred partners sowing $100 to give LHM the ability to award ten $1,000 scholarships annually! As we announced the scholarship program in May 2020, we had the proceeds to award the ten scholarships by November 2020!

In 2021, LHM held our second virtual Baccalaureate service. We celebrated two LHM Scholarship awardees and five Class of 2021 scholars: four high school and one undergraduate. Again, the graduates were in three different states and two different time zones, with viewership as far as Germany and Africa!
